FAQs

  • A CDM plan is a government program that can attract a Medicare rebate of $58 for up to 5 Osteopathic appointments per calendar year. This will be credited to your nominated bank account on the spot by Medicare. This means you will only need to make up the difference between the consultation price and the rebate also known as the gap. If you are eligible and referred by your GP you will need to bring to your appointment:

    1. Medicare Card

    2. GP Referral Form

If you are unsure if you meet the eligibility criteria, please call or email us and we will find out for you.

  • For your first appointment your Osteopath will discuss your health history including gathering information related to your injury and overall health. An examination will then be conducted - gowns are available - to determine any restrictions in movement. This is followed by a treatment and an assessment to see improvements. Clients will then leave with a detailed treatment plan and any further advice necessary. This ensures we can provide the best possible service to our community.

  • Yes we can if you have Osteopathy as part of your extras cover. Please bring to your appointment your private health insurance card and we can claim on the spot for you, using our HICAPS machine. You will only need to settle the gap.

  • Yes we accept insurance clients. However, you will need to bring to your appointment your referral from your treating doctor and insurer. If no documentation is provided at the consultation you will be required to cover the price of the appointment and it is up to you to receive payment from your insurer.

  • Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting new clients under DVA. However, clients are welcome to attend if the method of remittance for the consultation is through private health insurance or private payment.

  • If you cancel an appointment with less than 12 hours notice we charge 50% of the scheduled price. This policy helps ensure we are able to provide as much healthcare to the Canberra community as we can.

  • Osteopathy is safe for all groups and children and the elderly included. We conduct a thorough medical history of all our clients on principle to ensure we can provide the best care possible and are aware of any notable factors affecting their care plan. In addition to this, we are mindful of taking a more conservative approach with children and the elderly.

  • Anyone is free to make an appointment with an Osteopath without a referral from a GP or health care specialist.
